I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
